I found a bottle of makers mark bbq sauce last summer at my grandparents. Took that shite home and it was damn good. Haven't been able to find it since though.

I don't like overly sweet sauces, so I normally buy Stubbs. I'd get Jack Miller's but my wife doesn't like it.

You can order it off of Amazon or get it at Pepper Palace in New Orleans.

Growing up in Baton Rouge I had never even heard of Mustard based BBQ sauce until I moved to Jax. Now I don't even touch traditional style. Either Southern Style Mustard or Carolina Vinegar style for me.

With that said, my hands-down favorite sauce available in the grocery stores over here is this one right here:

It's actually made here in Jax and not available in grocery stores in LA but it can be ordered. If you like Mustard based BBQ sauce I highly recommend it.

Didn't know that. Thanks for the info. Don't get the downvotes... I thought it was good? I mean it's no sweet baby rays but it was a good change of pace. I'd buy it again

I like Stubbs much better than Sweet Baby Rays. I remember one from KC called Gates. It was the bomb but I think it is local to KC.

Stubbs is for those of us who like tangy, not too sweet sauces. McClards is another good one if you are near the Arkansas market.

Sweet Baby Rays and many others are for those who prefer diabetes in a bottle. It's very popular with the "I'll be riding in a Jazzy scooter and parking in handicap spaces soon" set.

To each his own.

I like to make my own. Google No. 5 sauce. You can make it as tart or sweet as you want.

Hands down, if you prefer vinegar based sauces, it's Salt Lick.

Mustard BBQ sauce is delicious. And not common in LA in my experience

The BBQ scene in general in LA is a wasteland
