Really like black beans, but have bought canned ones that tasted rotten. Does anyone have any brand recommendations for some canned ones that aren't terrible?
TIA

I get the Goya ones (actually listed as black bean soup). It is more like regular canned beans. I soften some finely diced onions, garlic, and bacon. Pour in beans, season with cumin, bay leaf, salt & pepper and some hot sauce. A diced tomato is alright to add too.

365 Organics. I put a little Tony's in them and Cholula for some spice.

Thank you's to you all! Been doing lighter meals with the heat. Was thinking black beans would be a great addition to any meal. Thanks for the recipes too!

Cooks Illustrated ranked Bush's Best the no. 1 canned black bean, with Goya a "close second" and Progresso an acceptable third place,

I usually buy Goya brand of all beans they offer. Sometimes Kroger has the Goya products in a separate area, so you may have to look around for them.

I did some Camelia dried a couple weeks ago which if you have the time are good. I let them soak overnight but they don't take long to cook. After that. About an hour.

Bush's has always worked for me, but I'll look for Goya now. I like their products.
