Had a burrito from taco stand that was less than Freebirds level. Not great.

I've been 2x. The burrito I had was more than 75% rice. I won't be back.

No self respecting Texan should be eating their brisket chopped.

Truth is legit. Also venture out to the hood and try Burns BBQ in Acres Homes. Brooks Place BBQ is in the parking lot if a Krogers in a trailer near Barker Cypress and FM 529… both are black owned small outfits.

Speaking of rice, I was introduced to Hu’s cooking recently. Best fried drive I’ve had in Houston I think.

Once again Spring Creek BBQ gets the shaft by the liberal communist filth rag. Hmmm... I'm sure it has nothing to do with them playing gospel music on Sundays and being pro military.

Bumping this thread to say that J-Bar-M BBQ in EADO has finally opened. I checked it out today. The food was excellent, and the build out is really nice.
Huge space with a nice bar and outdoor area. The pitmaster is Willow Villareal, who used to have a food truck and pop up around town. They have real deal Moberg smokers so it's definitely legit BBQ and some really good sides.

Two Meat plate, Moist brisket and pork ribs, with collard greens an cauliflower gratin

Never heard of this place, but the pics look great. I’ll have to try it out. Houston has so many solid BBQ places it’s hard to get around.

Pretty sure it's just a b&m from the same people that ran the Willow's BBQ truck at Shady Acres. Bus would know better than I.

Willow's made some absolutely banging food.
