Mizado fit's that bill. I've been taking people there a lot lately and it's a great location with really good food. Peche and Cochon also are great for this.

Since no one mentioned Shaya, I will throw that one out.

Also, Balise seemed like a place that would accommodate this type atmosphere.

Angeline has been quite lively of late.

Eta... If you want to catch a drink at Lafittes in the morning give me a shout.

If you're coming in Labor Day, most all restaurants will be lively.

Oh Great Chicken.

We are honored with your presence in our lowly food chat room.

I have nothing else to contribute to this inquiry. Actually nothing of any value at all.

Here - have a brownie recipe

Add a generous portion of Happy-Hemp to the batch before cooking and the evening will go just fine, regardless of where you go.

Peace to you oh great feathered leader.

Ive been to Borgne many times and the atmosphere is pretty meh. Service rushes you out the door and is lackluster, seats are uncomfortable and the tables are small, entrees are average (apps are better)

If I were taking a group of people out to eat with hopes of having a good time, Borgne probably isnt in my top 30. If you want to meet a group after work for happy hour, sure. It's not a memorable meal, however.

I found the atmosphere in Borgne to be cold.

I would agree. It's pretty overrated IMO and probably the worst of the Besh bunch. Not that it's terrible, I just think it's better served as a pregame/pre concert etc meal or for happy hour.
