A good hot dog with a good bun and fresh ingredients is a damn good meal. That’s all I came to say. Especially at a game or somewhere like a party. A nice crisp casing like a Hebrew National and fresh onion with a cold beer at a baseball game is legit.

Picked some up from Iverstine’s Butcher. I love most of their stuff but this was a miss. They were just very dense and didn’t have the snap of a good Nathan’s or Hebrew National.

I prefer the natural casing hot dogs too but no stores carry them. Do any stores around BR sell them?

Just saw an article where Kirkland All Beef was #1, I usually get Hebrew or Nathans but will have to check these out.

A hot dog or 2 with kraut on the way to the 10th hole is a gift from God.

Old black lady at my local course got tired of waiting for the dogs to heat up. She dropped them in the fryer, lawd that was good. Need to try that at home.

Nathan's on a lightly toasted bun with some kraut and brown mustard

Guess what's for dinner now.

My wife also got some from Iverstines. I agree they were very dense and dry. Almost a jerky like texture. Wondering it their wasn’t some sort of mix up.

Hebrew National or Nathan's

I'm not big on hot dogs, but the above two are what my wife prefers to eat when she's wanting to eat some hot dogs.

There's probably better out there but I like Nathan's and I'm limited on what I can get here in Natchitoches.
