Tossed some burgers on the grill this evening. Smelled so good It made me hungrier so I had two.

Of course some griddled onions made them better.

Looks good. Since you are cooking on cast iron try chopping the onions really fine and smashing the burgers on the iron and adding the onions and juice on top of the burger and add salt and lots of black pepper while it cooks. Then flip the patty with the onions on top over on the cast iron. Add a piece of cheese and the bottom bun on the patty while it cooks. When done flip over and add the top bun. Turns out great. Watched miss Mae Ownes do this at Laha’s Red Castle in Hodgenville Ky. The steam from the onions does something special.

hmm, ive been making cottage pie all these years then.. I thought lamb and beef were interchangeable.
