Honoreable mention of course to HC86, that chicken fried steak was delicious but we never vote for each other... not really fair since we get to try the food.

1.) Lambdatiger1989 - Filet Mignon with a Red wine portabella reduction and creamed spinach - I love red wine reduction sauces and mushrooms. The steak is perfectly cooked.

2.) LSUBoo - Salt Block Elk Steak With Bourbon Butter & Hash - I mean, it's freaking elk. This may have been the winner for me, but I would have liked to have seen some bourbon butter sauce on the plate.

3.) No8Easy2 - Surf n turf “snack-cups” with Asparagus and potato hollandaise Sauce - I love all of the flavor elements and this one could have won, except the steak is kind of hidden under the other ingredients. It is number 3 because No8 showed us some pictures of the steak before he cut it up, but I would have liked to see that big juicy steak in the finished product.

4.) Darla Hood - Marinated Steak Bites Taco - I could have gone with Houstonchick's taco, but I went with this one because it was much better than Darla let on. It looks great, and it's more in line with the keto diet I'm trying to follow, although I would love to try HC's taco.

ETA - I voted for LT, but I think his dish may not be getting more votes because the red wine reduction is difficult to see on top of the seared steak. It kind of blends in, but I see it.

I also want to give credit for Boo and No8 because I think doing a steak on the grill takes some skill to get that medium rare with a perfect char on it. Sous vide is like using a cheat code...

There's a little sheen left on some of the elk slices, but most had ended up underneath by the time I took the picture. It blended perfectly with the meat juices to sop up on every bite. ETA: It needs to be thicker next time.

Yeah, but you get my point, right? Maybe a little drizzle on top or on the plate underneath the steak of something like that. I don't even know if that butter was appropriate for that, but I wanted it.
