hey guys
doing a boil on saturday with some buddies and we've only ever done the traditional boil with corn and potatoes and occasionally onion, mushrooms, garlic.
ive read online people doing asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. i want to try that on Saturday but need some tips.
- when do i put them in?
- how long to keep them in?
- any particular veggie that cooks better or turns out better? whats your favorite veggie in a boil?

I will drop in a can of green beans when I dump crawfish. Poke some holes in the can. Very delicious

I would say most of it goes in when u soak. Unless u put something in that takes longer to cook like potatoes and garlic

They absolutely soak up seasoning you're counting on going into the crawfish, but by all means have yourself a low country boil. Two pots is your best bet. Celery, onions, lemons, garlic...add to crawfish flavor, if you're into that sort of thing, but all of the other eats aren't for that.

Sweet potatoes are actually very good in a boil.
