Yup, I've seen a lot of people say that about Vets.

Alon Shaya taught me how to make my hummus. Nice guy.

Hope he gets it but if private equity is involved in the scene of the restaurants weren’t in trouble they will be.

The laugh emoji was there for a reason.

Years ago I parked around the block from that stupid lot to walk in a driving rain storm to a kid's birthday party at Creole Creamery, all while a hysterical shrieking security guard from that lot was yelling at me (SIR! SIR!!! SIR!!!!) and follwed me into the ice cream shop to tell me I couldnt' park in that lot. I just told her, "I know, lady."

What are they going to open there.

I like LPG a lot but anything else they have done hasn't lit it up

I don't know. Ian McNulty has a post about it behind the nola.com pay wall. I refuse to pay for that.

I just read it. (You can easily read it on your iphone without paying)

Its a "new" restaurant, not a reopening of Upperline. No other details yet.

Scheduled for late 26. They are doing renos but trying to keep most of it intact. First floor will keep a similar layout, the 2nd floor will be full renovated for private dining

You mean, you really want a restaurant that exists for some reason other than just for chicks to take pics inside and post on social media?

Great. I am looking forward to it.
La Petite Grocery is one of my favorites, and I used to enjoy the Upperline when Jo Ann Clevenger owned it.
I am going to dinner tonight across the street from there at La Crepe Nanou.

I haven't been to Le Crepe in MANY years, since before I met my wife I think and we have been together for almost 18 years.

They don't let you reserve online and you need a reservation. What year is this

Their website says that, but you really don't (think it's still a vestige of covid shite - they don't hardly update that at all). I don't think I've made a reservation there the last 5-6 times I've eaten there.

I've probably eaten there with my wife more than any other restaurant in town.

Sadly, it's been very hit or miss of late (with more misses than hits) and really doesn't feel anymore as much like the value type proposition it used to be.
