Thank you TulaneLSU. However, it is behoves both a burger and a pizza to have onions on it. And great BBQ brisket is culinary master piece

I decided to walk to Rice Village to meet with my editor, which is near his home. We settled for tea and after business was complete, I asked for his recommendation for a restaurant. He suggested 60 Vines because “they’re pizza is good and I know you like pizza.”.

Time for a new editor.

The hostess asked me if I had a reservation. I did not. And she seemed to take offense that someone would dare show up to the nearly empty restaurant without a reservation.

I have had this happen several times and I just don't understand it. These people work on a system that involves paying customers adding to their hourly wage. I am showing up on a night when you aren't busy and offering to give you money. Why would you be annoyed at my sudden appearance?

we are in Sedona this weekend, there’s a highly regarded restaurant that apparently is quite famous for its food and the view of the red rocks. The only table we could get for four days was late afternoon yesterday, so we grabbed it. At the patio entrance there’s a doorman who checks reservations and radios inside that you are there. He turns away walk ins.

so we get inside and the place is half empty and stayed that way for almost the whole two hours we were there LOL.

Whatever works for them I guess. The food, service and atmosphere were incredible and worth the effort

Nice review. Also are those all taken with an iPhone? They came out good, if so.

It makes me sad to hear that your taste buds are so contaminated with what Americans call Thai food

To answer your question, it won a James Beard award because the food is exactly the quality and level of heat you would get over in Thailand.

It’s not known for outstanding service and yes, the service charge is something that they have always been known for

I’m sorry you did not enjoy it as much as the rest of humanity has

Compounding the issue was that the waiter awkwardly and rudely then told me that a service fee was already added to the check.

That practice bothers me. I don’t mind trying to have a consistent revenue stream to pay the wait staff, but why not just raise the menu prices all 20%, so the customer knows up front what they’re going to pay?

First, it's chile relleno, not chili. Second, that is one of the weakest looking plates for a chile relleno meal especially the nasty beans and weak form salad but the biggest turn off is there is zero red, green or Xmas chile on the relleno. On a scale of 1 to 5 I might give it a 0.5 as compared to Valentina's or other great rellenos here in Santa Fe I would give 10's.

TulaneLSU, the great Tom Fitzmorris had two dining rules that I follow. Do not eat at new restaurants. Diners with reservations will receive better service.
