Yall ever make these for your kids or yourself? Basically you cut a hole in a slice of buttered bread, stick the bread in skillet and put a egg in the center and cook it on both sides for 1-2 minutes. Season with a little salt n pepper. My kids love them, quick and easy.

That's probably it. My wife calls them a tote in the hole.

Hell If I know the correct term either...but I've flipped hundreds of them on Scout trips. Try a thick cut toast for a good fit.

Well I guess it is a Toad in The Hole. A tote in the hole never made sense to me anyway. Whatever they are, my kids love them.

For us it has always been an egg in the nest.

Love them regardless of name.

I couldn't find the cookie cutter I normally use so I used a small cup. It was a little big but ChedballzJr didn't complain.

My wife usually does the breakfast cooking on the weekends and that's one of her favorites. Think she's done them with hamburger buns or kaiser rolls when we were out of sliced bread.

I like these. I have always called them eggs in a nest, but I don't think there is an official name.

We did them growing up, in a couple inches of bacon grease.

We called them egg in a basket.
