Ive only gone recently because they did a buy 100$ gift card, get a 100$ gift card around black friday. Ive been 3 times since and its been completely empty with horrible service.
I better go use the rest of the gift cards soon by the way everyone else thinks about it...

For what it’s worth, I don’t come to this board to learn about an experience with a temporary hire waitress in a starter job, or the number of empty tables. I know it’s not just me - that’s why the Cluckster did not call this the Food, Drink, and Service Board.
I only care to read about food. So how was the food? What did you eat and how did it compare to the last time you had it there?

I like to hear feedback on the entire experience a poster has. Maybe that's just me. Bad service matters as does good service. I'll get takeout if the service is known to be bad. Just my opinion.

I worked there in college when TJ Moran owned the place and he ran a tight ship. His son Burke was the head bartender. They had a falling out and Burke moved to Bozeman Montana and opened up a few similar restaurants and did well. Last I knew he had locations in Montana, Colorado and Nebraska. He inherited TJ Ribs when TJ passed and recently sold it. He kept the Heisman trophy and the best memorabilia. I ate there recently and it was just not that great. Baby backs were still good because they apparently kept the original recipe and marinade them for 48 hours in the big bus tubs like they always have. Hard to mess that up. Was weird seeing the place half empty and the kind of clientele that was in there, it definitely is not like old times.

Yep I haven't stepped foot in Roux 61 since they did this to me with a family of 5. Only difference was the manager tried telling me it wasn't a tip it was for kitchen staff and I was supposed to tip on top of that.

Some people think they can get away with that shite or that their attitude doesn’t matter. The same type of people that give you terrible service at Popeyes or McDonald’s. And a mindset like that will keep them poor and keep their attitude shitty

Crazy shite, just a year or so prior I had met Levie and interviewed him for assistance in a civil case I was working, iirc he was with the Coroner’s office.

That place used to be THE SPOT. Late 90’s - 2000’s it was packed all the time.
Once Moran was out that was the end.
Now the food sucks, the service is horrid, and the place is dirty af.
I was put off when I heard they basically boiled their ribs, and then seared them.
