I don't know enough to really have an opinion, but I gave you an upvote.

I haven't seen Juke Joint or Gose with the Flow in the stores. Are they in distribution?

I'll be on my tractor in a couple hours bush hogging with an ice chest strapped to the fender and a six pack of Voodoo in it.

But I also will have a couple Blooms tucked down in the bottom.

I see no reason to down vote.

Well, that comment was more directed at the people who wrote Tin Roof off several years ago without trying the new stuff.

Juke Joint is certainly in distribution. Don't know if they're still doing it, but when the recipe changed, they were putting Juke Joint 2.0 stickers on the six pack carriers.

Gose With The Flow is in stores as well, but I don't think there was as much of it.

I miss Bloom.

I miss Bloom as well. I prefer it to Opus Vert and Ghost.

As for Tin Roof they are certainly headed in the right direction.

Only thing they have done recently that I flat out didn't like is Chicken Wire.

Voo Doo has a permanent spot in the rotation. First time I can say that about any TRB beer.

maybe because no one wants kids running around a brewery.... especially on Friday night

Voodoo is a great pale ale.

Not every pale yellow beer is attempting to taste like Julius.

I enjoy going to the tap room but like others have said many of the beers I do not drink on a regular basis. I wish they had some guest taps or something. I will drink the Voodoo but I have others I like more, same with most of their beers.

Plenty of kids running around at Urban South on a Friday or Saturday day/night. They have plenty of activities for kids as well.

Yeah Second Line is like that too. The neighborhood folks walk over with the kids. They even have a little set up with toys and such.
The kids don't bother me

Gnarly Barley is as well but only during their events but it is kid friendly. Tin Roof has the space to make it more family friendly

lso, LSU needs to make Parish Brewery the official beer of LSU. LA's flagship brewery for LA's flagship school.

Parish already has that gig for University of Louisiana in Lafayette. You snooze, you lose.

I just know my heart sank when the Shreveport breweries went all ages. Still not too many at great raft, but the kids screaming and running around red river with ping pong paddles sure is fun....

Of course I only speak for one side since we don't have kids...but it would nice to have adult only places and I kinda feel like a brewery should be one.

Good post.

Hopefully Jacob runs some sort of PR campaign to better get the message out to the average consumer that they're brewing very different beers than a year ago in terms of quality and consistency. To me Tin Roof primarily has an image problem now days.
