I finally got around to trying it. It’s definitely worth trying. They’re coming out with a few other flavors as well but the original ranch water is legit IMO. Give it a try. It’s made in Houston under some special agreement from Abita.

Casamigos, Topo, and lime is the GOAT summer drink.

Add the patron citron to it. Add that H-E-B makes pints of fresh squeezed lime juice. That’s living, the lazy Ranch Water way. On No. 2 this evening listening to the coyotes howl.

Agreed. The lime flavor is so over powering.

If you insist on drinking tequila from a can...track down Ranch Riders...they have a paloma, ranch water and chilton(vodka).

Their chilton actually isn’t bad...the other two need doctoring up.

The Tx folks will be mad, but it’s overrated IMO. I’d rather just take the extra step or two and make a margarita

When I make them for the wife, I do the same but do a spash of agave syrup.

Ranch waters to me are easier to drink and I enjoy the lack of sugar compared to a traditional marg.

2 topics happening here:

1) ranch water cocktail - topo Chico, blanco/reposado, and lime - great summer cocktail

2) ranch water hard seltzer - hard seltzer w/ agave and lime. For me this is good as an occasional beer substitute due to significantly lower calories/carbs. Damn refreshing drink IMO.

I fully agree if you are drinking a margarita made with one of those terrible pre-made sour mixes. They are awful. But there aren't too many drinks better on a hot day than a margarita ON THE ROCKS made with quality tequila, Cointreau or a quality triple sec, and fresh lime juice. Obviously there is sugar there from the tequila and (most notably) triple sec, but there is also so much more flavor without the added sugar taste. Ranch water, while refreshing, simply just taste like very watered down tequila...which is really all it is.

However, on the bright side, BOTH are effective at getting your lady's panties to drop if you can thread the needle between just enough tequila and holding hair while she hurls in the toilet

I drink ranchwaters like water. Casamigos blanco and lime flavored Perrier just in case I don’t have fresh lime available.
