The,"Food Babe", has finally been exposed.

First off, let me give my personal opinion on Vani Hari, the "Food Babe", I had the pleasure of meeting her a few years ago before she became a queen for SJW tryhards, we meet and someone started a conversation about potassium sorbate and then she was triggered... Hard. As I sat there and drank to numb my senses, I knew within five minutes of listening to her talk that she could be a legit danger to society if she ever had a formidable platform to stand on her soap box made of lies.
I have kept up with her outlandish accusations against the food industry slightly,(with the help of a friend that would text me,"you know that psychotic girl is on Dr. Oz? Wtf!?"
) but wish I would've paid closer attention so I can enjoy this train wreck even more than I already do.
I just wanted to let you guys know that tid bit of information so I can proudly say I called this shite almost three odd years ago...
So... Nailed. It.
Enjoy the read..
Oh yeah, it's gonna be one of those articles...
You can continue reading on Gawker, the author, Yvette, is extremely intelligent and may very well destroy her fake career. We can only hope that science will prevail over millennial attention whores.
And what modern woman doesn't pose with their yoga mats in front of subway?
So progressive...

Vani Hari, a.k.a. the Food Babe, has amassed a loyal following in her Food Babe Army. The recent subject of profiles and interviews in the New York Times, the New York Post and New York Magazine, Hari implores her soldiers to petition food companies to change their formulas. She's also written a bestselling book telling you that you can change your life in 21 days by "breaking free of the hidden toxins in your life." She and her army are out to change the world.
She's also utterly full of shite.
Oh yeah, it's gonna be one of those articles...

Hari's superhero origin story is that she came down with appendicitis and didn't accept the explanation that appendicitis just happens sometimes. So she quit her job as a consultant, attended Google University and transformed herself into an uncredentialed expert in everything she admittedly can't pronounce. Slap the catchy moniker "Food Babe" on top, throw in a couple of trend stories and some appearances on the Dr. Oz show, and we have the new organic media darling.
But reader beware. Here are some reasons why she's the worst assault on science on the Internet.

You sound like a really bitter ex-girlfriend in your post.
Why does the author of the article know so much more than this food girl?

Somehow I think Gris Gris knows me...

I loathe the pseudo science spouted by so many in the wellness industry. A local spa recently opened a smoothie/vitamin/nutrition joint. Plenty of lightly educated in science decorative types paying big bucks for stuff in a cup.....boggles the mind. Affluence breeds neurosis, orthorexia is the latest food disorder (obsession w eating right....whatever right is)

I am an analytical chemist with a background in forensics and toxicology. Before working full-time as a science writer and public speaker, I worked as a chemistry professor, a toxicology chemist, and in research analyzing pesticides for safety. I now run my own blog, Science Babe, dedicated to debunking pseudoscience that tends to proliferate in the blogosphere.
She also cited several scientists and experts who have also debunked the Food Babe's ramblings.
Another poster posted the article on FB earlier, and I thought it was a good read.

I read that article months ago and nothing seems to have come of it....sorta like when Fox News is caught lying over and over but the brain dead keep following and nothing happens.I think she is correct to point out the crap put into industrialized food. She is not accurate on all the science but she often is. It's up to each of us to decide if we care or not.

It's the American way!

She may not know what she's talking about, but she's getting national attention and I'm sure generating a fair amount of money out of her shtick. Props to her for realizing what a market there is catering to soft headed MSNBC watching tree hugging space cadets. She's living the American Dream.

I liked when she tried to make the beer breweries sound evil. A bloggers ripped her a new arse and promptly pointed out how full of shite she was
