Lee's Asian Fusion. I have seen buses of Asian folks from New Orleans come there from New Orleans due to its 'authenticity.'
Asians do love authentic Asian fusion

One could reasonably argue it's holding the world's food scene together ...
Japanese
Indian
Thai
Vietnamese
Korean
Chinese/Dim Sum
Every major city in the world will have these options

That’s a good list. Maybe include a Lao. I’ve never had it, but Gordon Ramsay raved the hell out of it that it made me curious.

You have local food places, especially seafood, that a lot of us would kill to have in our own local food scene. It's just not as special down there, so ya'll find it boring or stale. I would love to have some of those places here.

Tons of Asian restaurants in BR.
I like their Pad Thai with Tofu and extra vegetables.
BR also has Ava Cafe. The Baguette, or mini poboys are good and their Spring Rolls..
Bao is also great.
On an aside, Bay Leaf, the Indian restaurant is probably the best Indian restaurant in the state. I know Indians (dot not feather) come in from New Orleans regularly to have Bay Leaf.

Thai kitchen is alive and well. They dont have the buffet anymore but have brought back sushi recently. I go for lunch once a week and the new lunch menu is really solid

Didn’t mean to wrinkle your favorite fishing shirt sir. You probably heard the word newbie around 2006 ish. I’m guessing you are about 39?

No mention of Ichiban in this thread. One of my favorites. Asian cuisine is definitely good in BR.

All we need now is for the new Korean bbq joints to open, and for Thai Pepper to bring back their lunch buffet

Swagat isn’t near what it was since ownership changed. It has improved a bit in the last year, but still not up to its old self.

Ownership change? When did that happen? The only change I was aware of was when it changed from Al-Noor to Swagat. You're telling me that ownership changed again since then?
