frying a turkey for thanksgiving. what else can i toss in the oil?

i don't need another whole roast, loin, etc as we will have other smoked meats as well.

I'm thinking more appetizer/side kind of ideas.

My father in law always throws in a couple of injected pork tenderloins. The outside gets all crispy, while the inside stays all moist and juicy. Then he slices it real thin and we use the left over’s for po-boys.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm good

Die-are you talking the little skinny loins, or the larger loins like you might take a boneless pork chop out of? I want to try this, as I am not a big fan of spiral ham, and want something to add to my fried turkey....

Is the cooking time the same for pork loin as for turkey?

Things we fried this weekend after we finished frying the turkeys at the game:

Breakfast sausages
Fresh sausage
Egg (in shell)
Egg out of shell
Praline
Tater tots

And a special appearance by Cocomo’s fingers…

I would wonder if all the aggitation would crack the shell before it would boil...

What about fried ribs.. I saw a thread about that one here a few days ago.

yes. we removed it quickly. it was just like a boiled egg.

(we expected it to explode, but it didn't...)

Sweet potatos. Cut into thin slices. Very good. Sprinkle a little sugar on them while hot.
