I do love some unagi but I’d rather do unagi-don than nigiri. Also, usually salmon is underwhelming in a sushi setting.

Screw ordering rolls filled with rice. For the ultimate plate of sushi I’m ordering sashimi all day long and twice on Sunday … scallop, ahi tuna, salmon, escolar, uni, yellowtail, peppered tuna, etc.. be sure to include fresh wasabi, not the powdered creation.

The “Golden Corral experience” depends on your seating location and waitress at Sushi Masa. That can be said for any AYCE restaurant; especially the cheaper ones. I request to sit at the bar and watch sports on tv. Several times the sushi chef has fillet the fish right in front of me and served my mango salmon order. Nothing GC about that.
