Texas Roadhouse or was it Longhorn?, what a nice surprise

ETA: What a messed up kudos to Longhorn Steakhouse. That's what I get trying to post sober. It was Longhorn dammit. My apologies for the confusion.
Last minute on Christmas Eve decide to take my mom and girlfriend to dinner, original idea was full up with a 45 minute wait, which my mom was not going to tolerate because she had told her dog that she "would be right back."
So Roadhouse in front of Mall of LA was close. I've never been there, but what the heck, it was a last minute thing, and it IS Christmas Eve. Get going before everyone shuts down.
Atmosphere is dark, cozy might be a bit misleading, but Western is obviously the theme. Pretty nice, really, kinda like the old TV show Bonanza, but with the lights really dim.
Pronto Service! This waitress was maybe the best I've ever had anywhere. Three sips of my beer down and she's offering me another. Yes indeed.
Little onion sticks or something appetizer. Quick and pretty good.
Ordered the filet, medium. It was great! $26 I think. IMO was better than what I had at Stabs, Does or 18Steak. (All those I joined my eat out friends.). It was flavorful, cooked properly and seasoned nice.
If you haven't been, give it a shot.

Sounds great, but man that’s some balls trying to go to dinner without a reservation on Christmas Eve.

I think that's Longhorn if it's in front of the Mall of LA baw.

It's my favorite steakhouse. Their NY Strip is as good as you're going to find.
ETA: I'm referring very specifically to Texas Roadhouse, not Longhorn.

Texas Roadhouse isn’t in front of Mall of LA

I always enjoy texas roadhouse and Logans. Both always have decent cuts and they cook it how I order it. Texas roadhouse got them rolls too.

Can confirm. Have visited the Westbank location twice in the past two months. Filet was good both times. That bread too, my god it’s good!

Maybe it was there but it guy replaced. I remember walking in years back and there where peanut shells all on the floor.

I remember the place with the peanuts, but don't recall the name. Longhorn is at Mall and Texas Roadhouse is off Siegen in the Walmart, Sam's, Lowe's, etc.. shopping center.

The Texas Roadhouse in Alexandria is usually solid. Once maybe twice I’ve had a bad experience. They are usually quick and if you leave hungry it’s your own fault. I really like their blue cheese dressing (blue dressing is always hit or miss).

Logan’s used to be in front of Mall of Louisiana. That closed a few years back.

Must have been good. The review was three weeks in the making.

That's where I go when I want prime rib. Rare, seasoned and seared with horseradish.
ETA; They have damn strong side salads. Not that bullshite lettuce and tomatoes you get at most places.

I’ll go to Roadhouse before Saltgrass or Outback. Medium rare ribeye and it’s always cooked perfect, the other two places they seem to overcook. Roadhouse green beans are great too

The people seem to be pretty happy working there also. It seems to be a really good company.

Based on this confusing arse thread, Roadhouse must be pretty good too.
And yes, LouisianaLady, it was either have balls and go find somewhere to eat or a sammich. We were in the middle of moving, so even a sammich would've been a task.
Yes, moving, hence the long delay for the review.
Kudos to LONGHORN!!
