Taco Bell is revamping the menu by removing 12 menu items and adding two new ones.

Starting Aug. 13, Taco Bell fans will no longer be able to order the Grilled Steak Soft Taco, 7-Layer Burrito, Quesarito, Nachos Supreme, Beefy Fritos Burrito, Spicy Tostada, Triple Layer Nachos, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, Loaded Grillers, Chips & Dips and the Mini Skillet Bowl in stores.

“With safety top of mind, we want to ensure an easy and fast ordering experience for our guests and team members,” reads a statement by the company.

The fast food chain is making way for two new menu items: The $5 Grande Nachos Box and the Beef Burrito.

The box includes a layer of tortilla chips, a double serving of seasoned beef, refried beans, nacho cheese sauce, three-cheese blend, pico de gallo, guacamole and reduced-fat sour cream.

frick. I've been eating the 7-layer Burrito since at least 2003. My current favorites were the spicy Tostada and the Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes from the dollar menu. I could stuff my stomach full of food for less than $5 bucks.

Oh, so you mean they are removing a few combinations of tortilla, meat, cheese lettuce and sauce

And replacing them with different combinations of tortilla, meat, cheese, lettuce and Sauce?

so basically they are removing the dollar menu

not surprising though, Taco bell charges 1.69 a for a fast food taco

I might as well spend the extra $.20-.30 cents and buy an actual restaurant taco. Better cheese, real meat

Is this going to be only ground beef and a tortilla?

For those that didn’t notice, Taco Bell quietly upped their prices late last month. I was on the road and grabbed three items for lunch. No drink. Just a chicken Gordita, that new cheese burrito and a cheesy Gordita crunch. Total was $12 something with tax.

Done with them and T Bell was my go to fast food since I was a kid.

It really has gotten quite expensive.

Long way from 59c tacos and $1.99 mexican pizzas. Now $1.39 and $3.99.

I just wish they still universally had the chilito/chili-cheese burrito.

I trust Taco Bell. They will come out with better items. They rarely disappoint me.

So the quesarito is still gonna be available but you have to order it on the app or website. Are they just trying to strongarm some people to download their app?

I used to frick up a Cheesy Gordita Crunch and a Chili Cheese Burrito back in the day, but I can’t remember the last time I went to a Taco Bell.
