Besides Yeti, what other brands are worth looking into? I have the Hopper 20 but am looking for something a bit smaller and not as expensive. Something to use when I need to carry a six pack or so.

I have looked into Rtic and am considering it.

AO Coolers get a lot of love. We just bought an Ozark Trail and I like that one too.

ETA; I used this one for about 5 years everyday when I bring my lunch. Used those blue cold packs and it worked great... Coleman

I’m happy with my RTIC. Look at Polar Bear Coolers for a cheaper option.

I use an AO Cooler when fishing and love it, no complaints and holds ice really well. The gray Ozark Trail coolers from Walmart are actually a really good cooler and a damn good value at $50.

Had a polar that molded, ditched it for an RTIC and never looked back. RTIC 30 is a great ice chest.

I asked this board the same question a while back, and I ended up with a Polar Bear. Get one bigger than you think you will need.

I have the original ozark trail version from a few years ago. Worked great but got a leak in bottom of the liner. Siliconed it so it’s fine now, but the way they secured the liner makes me think it could happen a lot.

The new version they have now looks exactly like the square RTIC and Yeti lunch box style ones.

Has anyone seen if Polarbear is running the buy one get one free promotion? They sometimes send out the promo codes to people on the distribution list.

Someone gave us a Yeti and while it works well for cooling the opening is limited. It's a pain in the arse and rarely does it get used.

Someone gave my wife an RTIC and she uses it almost exclusively. I want to look at the new Igloo.

AO and Bison both have american made options that work well and are a little more expensive.

I second the RTIC 30 others have named.

What the hell? They must be really trying to show up the Yetis there.

I agree on the useless, narrow, zippered Yeti opening. It's like a giant beer purse, completely impractical for anything other than a little ice and a loose rattle of cans.

My Polar Bear can hold two full brown bags of groceries and still zip up.

Buy one get one free from polar bear. Coupon code 2112

Or you could fly to China, spec out your own coolers and fill a couple off containers for your baws.

If you ever pass by a Bucees get one of their soft sides.

$20.00 and they can't be beaten for the price. Can fit up to an 18-pack in one with ice. The liner pulls out so it can be cleaned.

Light weight. Empty weight is about 2 lbs
Shoulder strap and handles
Will hold ice for about 8 hours during a hot day.

My RTIC 30 has performed great on both beach and fishing duty.
