Not impressed with Shaya, or Domeinca.

Not enough bang for the buck.

Not fat boy friendly. I've been to both and had entire meals that didn't have any meat.

I thought shaya was great and we got out of there around $100 for 4 people and couldn't finish all the food.

Only been to Domenica for happy hour

I like Shaya. I had to give up dinner reservations for this Saturday and the next date and time I could get that worked for me was in July.

It's nuts.

This. Shaya is a great place to go with a group and share dishes.
Those small plates are excellent.

Best Pita bread in town for sure. It's just so small and the accolades make getting a table so hard.
He needs a second location stat.

$9 for hummus that taste half as good as Lebanon Cafe's....no thanks.

And Pizza Domenica is overrated too.

Just the in places I guess. Hip crowds.

RE: Shaya and meat....had my birthday dinner there a few weeks ago, & the absolute standout dish of the meal: wood-oven-roasted lamb shank. It was spectacular. The two runner-up dishes of the night were a lamb-ragout-topped hummus and a lamb kebab starter. Sorry you somehow couldn't find "meat" on such a menu, LOL. If I weren't so lazy, I'd post a pic of the lamb shank, a true thing of beauty.

Shaya is expensive, but make no mistake that it's incredible food.

Just because you dislike it / can't get full off it doesn't mean it's "overrated." Some people enjoy things besides chicken wings.

Like this ? I've been enough to have everything on the menu. Even back when the grape leaves had meat in them.

Is it overrated as in not the best new restaurant in the country? Yes but it is still damn good and very unique compared most places down south. And that lamb shank is incredible
