Seafood Buffet In Baton Rouge

I have a friend coming to town soon from out of state. He is a bigger guy and is craving a seafood buffet. Any suggestions?

I would just go to a place like Parrains and order a seafood platter and other stuff.
There arent any seafood buffets in the city that are worth stepping into

yeah, buffets aren't usually a place to find the best food.

Are seafood buffets a thing outside of casinos? Check the Hollywood Casino, they used to have a buffet.
What buffets are in Baton Rouge? CiCis Pizza, Gattis pizza, Johnny’s pizza, Golden Corral, various Chinese restaurants. …what else is there?

L'Auberge does seafood nights at the buffet on weekends. The line was a solid 50 people deep a few Saturdays ago at 10pm. I was shocked 
But yeah, I would just go to a regular seafood restaurant. Even if he's a bigger guy, I imagine the platters would fill him up fine.
I haven't been to Drusilla Seafood in years, and I know it isn't the most popular place around here, but I do know they have broiled seafood in addition to fried seafood, so you can get both worlds.

This. Unless Covid has created issues with cook or wait staff Parrains IMHO is one of the best in BR.
If you want to take a bit of a drive, The Hilltop Inn in French Settlement is good. Their au gratin is the best .. anywhere.

Hilltop... Closed right now due to Covid. I think they plan to re-open on the 24th.

Sure wish I could get their crab au gratin recipe. I think it is a better guarded secret than Bush's baked beans.

Your choices are the buffet at the L'auberge, or taking the ride to House of Seafood in Bush or Cajun Catfish buffet in Ville Platte. Foo Chow in Walker has a seafood buffet on Saturday nights also. Personally I like the rec P&G mentioned above of going to Hilltop.

Ive got questions! How is Drusilla still open? I dont know a soul that eats there. I think I went about 15 years ago. Is the food bad? Location?

Just ride out to New Roads and order the gulf platter at Hot Tails restaurant. If he can eat that whole pan, he is the man!
