I’ve been to Drusilla twice in the past few years. Each time, it seemed like the place needs a revamp. Like it was just stuck in a rut. Can’t really explain it, but it had that vibe. It just had a lazy feel. The food wasn’t bad.

Seems like it could easily be a sleeping giant and with the right manager(s) and marketing, it can take off once again.

youre right about lazy. It has the potential to be the go-to seafood restaurant for all of the neighborhoods on Jefferson. Maybe have a bar area with chargrilled oysters and live music. It felt more like a retirement home the last time I went

Drusilla and Cafe Americain are two restaurants that I’ve lived near for well over a decade, and have never been to either. I just can’t bring myself to give enough of a frick to try them

House of Seafood in Bush or Cajun Catfish buffet in Ville Platte.

The House of Seafood is a drive but is great. We lived in Slidell a decade ago and made that trip routenly. Show much variety and busy enough the food stays fresh.
