Rocca was a disaster today

fricked up our drinks.
30 minutes to get garlic knots.
Waited almost 2 hours for 2 pizzas, a salad and a sandwich.
Multiple people were served and others brought out to go orders while waiting for our food.
Manager refused to take any responsibility. The chef was quite decent about it at least.
Anyway just needed to vent a bit and suggest you order carryout from Rocca for the foreseeable future.

I'm impressed you were patient enough to wait that long. I would have cut my losses and bailed long before that.

Normally I would’ve but it was Sun God Jr’s birthday lunch. My wife had to leave to go to work halfway through.

We got takeout from there a couple of weeks ago - the night of the first Pelicans game - and there were zero problems.

This is why places shouldn’t be open for dine in during these times unless they are for sure equipped to do so.
Sucks that you had a bad experience but at least you’re being pretty reasonable about it.

I have not been since the start of COVID, but the last time I went, it was take-out only and it was an absolute disaster.

That sucks.. I've been at least 3 times since covid and haven't had any issues. Never been on a Monday for lunch though.

How does this happen? Is it supposed to be your fault or something? I would put something on their website asking who is supposed to be responsible if it is not the manager.

I went there last year and had the same problem with service....it took forever to get seated even with a reservation and our food came out at a very slow pace....manger was no help at all...

Damn, that sucks. I went during Covid when they were doing short order style service. I assumed they switched to that because damn near every service industry person in town was refusing to go back to their jobs due to the unemployment stimulus.
It was okay. You had to wait back in line for every drink refill, but not the end of the world.
However, I imagine now the entire staff is new and possibly new to restaurants entirely. Sucks :(

My biggest pet peeve is when a server blames you not having your food in a reasonable time on a "computer issue". Happened this weekend when everyone got their meal but me. Just be honest with me and say you forgot to put it in. I've been a server before it's not a difficult job.
