LOL good luck - I haven't found a single pizza in town that I'd consider "great." I'll usually opt for NY Pizza on Jones Creek (whole pie only) or take the ride and get Diversion in Maurepas... but I wouldn't consider either of them to be "great."

It always blows my mind how many people in these pizza threads always hype red zeppelin. I’ve given it so many tries and tried just about every pizza they offer and it’s all trash. It’s the blandest pizza in town. Reginelli’s gets my vote

Red Zepplin on Perkins is great. Rocca on Government St. is great. The deep dish at Rotolo's Craft & Crust is solid. (not the regular Rotolo's)

Nothing really “great” in BR, but this post is dead on.
All I will add is for a Detroit style- Reginelli’s.

Depends on what you like and wait time. Rocca is my favorite considering I've never had a bad pizza from there and have gotten more than just pizza. It's higher dollar for what you can get elsewhere but should do the job for two.

RZ still uses frozen dough which everyone here finds impressive. It's not a bad pizza though, i prefer their pesto cheese bread.

Schlitz is super greasy. I don't mind since i take off a bit of it before eating.

Var's Pizza has been around for several months and is solid. Great crust but they have some wild topping ideas. You can get a normal pepperoni pizza anywhere else for a bit cheaper.

For a New York style pizza, Biatro Italia is the best in BR. Often overlooked and under appreciated, Bistro Italia is a very solid restaurant.

Never been to NY Pizza , but have been to Diversion and it was pretty good. I feel like it`s a little overhyped because of the alcohol selections.

NY Pizza is good quality pizza cooked well...however, it has no flavor. It is very bland. I'll be happy eating it, but it does lack flavor.

I always order a whole pie and I've found that it makes a significant difference for some reason. It's still pretty medicore, but better than other options in the area imo. I've had Red Zeppelin and Rocca and thought both were pretty meh.

I've heard so many great things about this place over the years, but the server there messed up my experience a few years back and because of that I haven't returned. We went on our lunch break and he basically forgot to put in the order so we never received our food and had to go back to work. I'll give it another try, eventually.

La Contea is hardly ever mentioned but they make an excellent pizza. You can get the larger sizes to go.

Always blows my mind how many people post in these threads saying out of one side of their mouth how they offer bland trash yet the other side say I’ve given it so many tries.

Seems to me some blown mind person would get that it is trash on the first try thus saving future disappointment, expense and time and less of a blown mind considering the mind is a bad thing to waste and apparently this particular mind is more than half gone anyway.

Which shows me these people are drama queens who at some point had their tampon string stepped on.

Regular Rotolo's Detroit style is good. Reminds me of Pizza Byronz deep dish which is also good.

Wife is a big lady tigers fan so we are going up for the game Sunday, looking for a quick meal on the way out.

If leaving from campus, I would go with City Slice on Chimes.

I think my favorite pizza in BR is from the pizza counter at Whole Foods.
