Seriously, I've never eaten rack of lamb or even tasted it. I assume you guys love it?

I think it's due to the fact my parents never ate it, but I enjoy (mostly) all types of meat. And I'm a fan of Greek/Lebanese cuisine as well.

Have you had venison? Good Venison? Lamb has a wild game taste to it, usually very mild, but there.

Do you like goat cheese? Somewhat similar also.

Lamb is great occasionally, but I'm not sure I'd love to have it routinely like every week.

I love lamb.

If you like steaks and want an introduction to lamb, go buy a pack of 34 or 4 lamb chops, season them like you would a steak and grill them.

Personally I like to put goat cheese on them when they come off the grill.

I used to get a rack every now and then at Costco. I would sous vide them and sear in a skillet. The last rack I got was super funky have not done any since. i would sear in butter and thyme.

Lamb isn't for me but a question...Did the lamb chops already come in a sealed pack? A lot of meet , pork chips especially, can have a slight funk to them when opening a pack. But rinse them and they are fine. If they were already sealed, you cooked them in the funk. Next time, unpack, rinse, dry, season, seal in new pack.

Lamb is really good. We eat it alot. It's important though to trim the excess fat from whatever cut you plan to eat. When people say they don't enjoy lamb, what they're really saying is they don't like the taste of the fat. It can be off putting.

OP I absolutely love rack of lamb. Not sure why this country doesn’t eat more lamb. It’s good.

Yeah, it's legit. My favorites are at Maison Lacour, and Adolfo's on Frenchmen

I much prefer beef but a rack of lamb I'd a good change up and it looks impressive.

Reverse sear or sous vide the whole rack, let rest, then sear.

I like to cut them into 4 pieces, 2 ribs each then sear. Makes it easier to get a nice crust but still maintain a nice medium rare.

Love it.

Cook it like you would a steak, make a bernaise sauce and have it with a good bottle of Bordeaux.

I love rack of lamb. I always season with fresh tons of fresh rosemary and garlic powder and a dash of salt and fresh crushed black pepper. Reverse sear and its excellent.

One of my favorite things to cook and my lady-wife's favorite thing to eat. They benefit from a medium-rare preparation but are ok medium as well. Medium-well and over, the lamb begins to present a liver-like flavor. I prefer to cook them whole and slice them double-boned.

Here's a rack I prepared with a Caprese salad.

I got a rack of lamb at Kroger in Ridgeland (maybe Madison), MS about 15 years ago that had a really bad funk when I opened the package. At first I thought it was just a little too gamey, then the stench was getting worse; flipped the rack over and it was rotting and covered in green mold that the packaging had concealed from view. I haven't been able to cook lamb myself since then; I'll eat it if someone cooks it and serves it to me as a guest.

Funny part of that story, when I took it back to the Kroger, the woman at customer service said "lamb? what is that, fish?"

Just kidding around. I love lamb too. I like lamb chops. I like smoking a leg of lamb marinated in garlic, rosemary, and fresh squeezed lemon juice. I like it on Greek kebabs with pilaf and steamed veggies. I like it in Indian vindaloo. If you get it and it tastes funky then you need to get it somewhere else.

Grilled lamb chops are a real treat. I'll confess that I've never tried a rack of lamb.

Easy and simple. They have them at costco.

Rub it with oil and a sicilian or italian seasoning, and bake appropriately. You'll like it.
