I’m sorry. I know this has been asked a billion times. Dinner for 2, any part of the city but preferably UPtown. Seafood/steak, away from the tourists and madness and somewhere that isn’t loud as hell. Price not really a problem. I figure $200ish after drinks and wine is fairly standard, right?

Take a look at Gabrielle. I wouldn't call it quiet, but it's small. We really enjoyed our meal there in the Spring and I'm looking forward to returning. It's definitely away from the tourist areas.

Look it up on Facebook, also. There's a good many photos of food etc...

We love N7 in the Bywater. You'll think your in a French village. You should be able to get out for $120-$200, depending on how much y'all drink. (Last time we were there, we Ubered and had to wait an hour plus for a table. So we drank a shitload.)

Brigsten's in the Riverbend area near Carrollton and St. Charles. Excellent food, quiet atmosphere, great service and pretty much in your price range.

Lilette.

Sit outside on the porch or the garden if the weather permits.

My favorite NO restaurant for a quiet dinner, great food, service and atmosphere.

There's a French place uptown that is great, Cote Sud. It's fantastic. Cash/check only though. It's a small neighborhood type place with maybe 10-12 tables but very high quality food.

Some good suggestions in here already. Patois and Bistro Daisy are a couple of other places to check out.

I love Brigtsen’s. Unless you have a table in the front window area, it can be loud in the small rooms until it clears out. Doesn’t bother me at all. I like activity.

If you go there, tell Marna it’s your anniversary when you make the reservation. They’re good about adding a little “festive” to the event. I love the food.

Barcelona Tapas for a change of pace. Order paella in advance if you want paella. Lamb is wonderful.

It was better in the little house. Took my wife on our first date there. Little place had some charm. New locale is good, but not the same.
