Question for the FBD regulars

With some of you are drinking 4 or more beers nearly every day.
My question has to do with weight. And I'm honestly curious about it.
My assumptions:
1. Young and it hasn't affected your weight...yet
2. Older and you are one of the rare who don't have to ever worry about being heavy
3. Overweight and ok with it.
4. Full of crap and aren't really drinking all that beer.
5. Eat fewer calories to make up for beer calories

No option for eat right and exercise?

Good point. Edited with a slight difference. "Eat right" is broad.
I'm guessing you are under 35 or at least under 40. At some magical age, if you want to maintain or lose weight "eat right" means "eat less" and exercise has less impact on weight.

I generally try to cut back on beer and eat right during the week and on weekends eat like crap and drink to much beer. It's a never ending cycle but for the most part it helps me keep my waist line in check.

I'm 30 and weigh 150, and while I don't drink 4 or more every day, I do usually drink 1-3. I don't gain or lose weight. I've trained for marathons and dropped to 149. I've drank and ate like shite for two week vacations and got up to 152.

Hope it stays that way for you, and it might.
I was the same until 40 then bam it all changed.
Now that I am close to my goal weight, I am hoping to be able to cut loose on weekends a bit and maintain where I am.

Judging by the side of the family I take after, I have a good chance of staying that way, but I'm ready to make changes if that trend doesn't continue. I have already changed my diet after my Dad had a triple bypass last year. He's a 61 year old ultra marathoner and managed to almost die from heart blockages, so it was a wakeup call to watch myself early.

Ya keep an eye on that. From what I understand it is more about genetics than diet, with diet helping of course.
Sounds horrible.

Young. Some pretty favorable genetics working for me, but I figure when I hit 30 it wouldn't hurt to be more conscious of my consumption. If I ever hit 160 I'll be concerned, but so far 154 has been my peak.

I do p90x everyday and eat well as much as possible. I am still a few lbs over what i am want to be but its lightyears better than i was 2 years ago in college.
I basically quit working out for a few years after my last high school ball game.
I am trying to cut back on beer during the week but sometimes there is a beer in your heart.

I wake up at 4:45am most mornings and run anywhere between 3-8 miles before work. Also do push-ups and sit-ups to help offset.
I'm 34.

barely
I'm fairly short (5'7") and I stayed in the 140's for a long time, and could eat what I wanted and drink whatever I wanted, like is typical in your 20's
By the time I hit 30 things started to change and on 1/1/2011 I weighed in at 212. I cut back drinking to only 3 days a week and only a couple or three beers then, and for the first time ever I started working out regularly and dropped 50 pounds that year. I was able to maintain and stay in the 158-162 range, but grew very tired of working out or running all the time, so when my wife got pregnant I took advantage and quit working out and started eating like crap again. This also was the time that I started homebrewing, so my consumption went up some as well. It took almost 3 years, but I made my way back up to 199 on June 1 of this year. I stopped drinking during the week, cut calories, and started working out again and have dropped 25 pounds. I intend to keep this up until I get back under 160, then I want to work on maintaining, which is something I never have been good at.
I also started making beers that are under 100 calories so when I have 1 or 2 I don't regret it.

Good for you that you have a plan.
My plan was "I'm thin." So I ate what I wanted and big portions. Then one day "dang, I'm fat!"

Combo of 1, 5, and 3.
I'm 25, so my weight is catching up to me. I have floated at 108 since I began drinking beer. I am not gaining weight anymore, and I doubt I will, BUT I'd like to weigh less for sure. I'm 4'8".. so 108lbs isn't exactly skin and bones even though it is far from "fat".
I was ~98 for the longest time before beer came into the picture. I know for sure that working out would help, but I am just not much of an exerciser, regardless of how much I try. Just being honest with myself here.
I eat what I want, but what I want isn't all that bad. I don't want/crave fast food and pizza regularly. Still, I don't eat "healthy" either. I don't do brown rice and boring chicken or anything. But food isn't affecting me because I eat so little of it. I never finish a plate of food, and often don't even come close. I also often skip dinner and just drink a few beers or maybe have a snack.

Dayum! And I always thought my mama was the shortest grown, non dwarf woman at 4'10" and a half. She always stresses the half.

So "well, hello little lady!" isn't necessarily a pickup line I am guessing?
