I'm 30 and weigh 150, and while I don't drink 4 or more every day, I do usually drink 1-3. I don't gain or lose weight. I've trained for marathons and dropped to 149. I've drank and ate like shite for two week vacations and got up to 152

I used to be that way. I was around 175. I could eat like crap for two weeks, quit exercising, and would be just shy of 180. I could run 3-4 days a week for 30 minutes to an hour, watch what I eat, and no alcohol, and get all the way down to 170. I was even using MyFitnessPal to track calories. I could also just eat decent and not exercise and maintain. Or exercise like crazy and eat whatever and maintain.

It has slowly crept up on me and I'm around 185 now. If I really wanted to get back to 170 it would only take about a month of getting back into running. But I worry more about how clothes fit and how I look rather than weight. About a month ago the wife and I started some 90 day challenge at her gym. She wanted to eat better and exercise, so she signed up for it. I just follow along with whatever she is eating. I don't have the time to exercise like I want to, and the diet isn't having any effect. For me, it takes exercise, no matter what I eat.

My weight held pretty steady until about 3 years ago. Then, like magic, an extra 12-15 lbs appeared right around the middle of my body. Sucks. Now I'm not gonna lie, although I go to the gym, I'm thinking 3-4 beers and 3-4 shots a day just don't give a frick how much I exercise.
