I don't think.the price was high at all either. Food cost, time, etc what did the chef actually make? $150? That's not much for.a personalized experience.

Agree.
Why would someone with a little bit of skills even want to leave their house just to go make $75 or something like that.

I've eaten at many fine restaurants, and this was better than any $150+ dinner for me and my wife we had at those restaurants.

You make some of the oddest comments.

Glad you enjoyed the meal. I agree that the menu seems very basic, but I don’t find the price to be that out of the ordinary for a personally tailored experience.

$120 per person for someone coming to your house and cooking that many meals? Let's say that took Jeremy 7 hours to do. Prep, cook, hang around, clean up. Let's say he paid $100 for the food/ingredients. 5 people. $70/hour seems pretty reasonable for a chef.

Most chefs that do this aren't coming out for two people.

Ya exactly. I dont get the hate. How is that food "basic", especially for cooking in a random guy's fricking kitchen? You see similarly coursed meals at places like Commander's and Restaurant August.

I think the price is dependent on the amount of people as in if its worth it or not. The lower amount of people I think the deal gets better.

A party of 10 people I think its a complete ripoff considering the food on this menu. If im paying $1200 for a dinner like this, you better come with better food than bacon wrapped shrimp, a salad, and a steak as the brunt of the menu

It maybe the other way around, the more people, the price per head maybe lower

He seemed to cook everything fine based on the photos, but the plating could be better.

Now granted, a few of the photos in the OP were taken after I had started dining and forgot to snap a photo, so don't judge the plating. Actually the only photo of a plate that he plated is the shrimp photo, and it was played a lot better than the photo shows

I'm guessing you meant to say plating.

If you read a few of the comments in this thread, people kept commenting on the plating

Dude, you drop $150/pp on that and won’t pony up for a decent NYC hotel for a night.

Private meals are awesome and make great memories.

It’s bacon wrapped shrimp, raw salmon on a cracker, a salad, a filet and a fricking brownie. Applebee’s offers similar courses for their 2 for 20 deal. This guy fleeced y’all. And I have experience with private cheffing. I did it for a living. 120 a person for this menu is a joke

Don’t express your opinion if it’s negative. People will think you’re just a big ole meanie.
