So I guess that answers the question of “ignorant or a-hole.” Congrats on being the latter - for the record being ignorant would have been the better of the two.

For the record I’ve worked on being an a-hole for 64 years and I’ve been All-Pro for quite a few there Junior.

I’ve also decided not to allow you to come cook at my house. Cable either if he can’t wash his hands.

Well then maybe telling someone to not be judgmental of the OPs meal is counter-intuitive to your mission of being an a-hole, old timer.

Honestly, be an a-hole or don’t. I’m fine with either. Just be consistent.

I laughed at that too. In what way do those photos scream “pastry chef”?

I hope someone finally wins the blue ribbon with this pissing match of a thread. This is an example of why a lot of people shite on the food and drink board.

I added descriptions for you

It wasn't dainty food like you have pictured above, so it is a little harder to plate

This makes no sense

You’re probably right, Paul. Usually that is the case when someone only responds with insults

Oh this is the inevitable part where you pretend like you were just saying all this to rile people up, thus making you seemingly come out superior despite saying ignorant shite?

entertaining for someone who is a demented and ignorant troglodyte.

No doubt. And occasionally I’ll do the same. But sometimes it’s more apparent than not when someone is just trying to backtrack.

Well done, looks real good

I can only assume your more labor intensive dishes and superior ingredients probably equal a higher price point? If that’s a $120 per head dinner I stand corrected

Depends on the number of people. I thought the op had a bigger group which is mainly why I said 120 was ridiculous for that menu. I’m pretty surprised a chef came out for just two of them for only 240 bucks. We had a 1000 dollar minimum for in home catering. If we did a two person dinner it was usually balls to the wall budget wise. For instance, I did an in home 10 course tasting menu for a couples 30th anniversary that ended up costing them 5 grand with the alcohol and items they wanted. It was ridiculous.

Op's price wasn't bad. In September I got a quote (6 couples) from Jay Ducote and it was a $1500 show up fee and $200 a person. I ended the call before the number of courses were discussed. I was also supplying the wine.
