A couple of months ago, the gf and I happened upon The Royal Scam on a pass through Mobile. Possibly the best meal of my life. Drinks, service, appetizers, entrees, dessert......all 10/10. Best seafood gumbo, smoked pork belly and bread pudding either of us had ever had. Went back a month ago and made a point to not repeat our previous order. The soup du jour was Green Bean Casserole. Holy shat!!!! The rest of the meal was equally incredible.

If you're ever in the area give it a shot. You wont be disappointed.

Don’t know how “hidden” it is, but Christiano’s in Houma, LA is probably the best Italian food I’ve had in my life.

Bellue's on Scenic. Place is a hole in the wall but man the food is good and affordable.

These are what actual tenders look like, Todd

Great place to stop by for lunch or pick something up on the way home to make for dinner

frick no. I am not giving up my special spot to the heathens on this board.

This is like asking a fisherman for his best hole to hook up.

It was Omi in BR but then they retired and it's some basic Chinese now. It was the best Chinese food in town. And the real stuff too

El Magey for Mexican buffet though I haven't been there since pre-pandemic

Swagat for Indian but maybe not a hidden gem

Mi Tierra Honduran restaurant on Perkins.
They're always packed for lunch, and you'll probably be the only customer who speaks English in the whole restaurant.

I should probably delete that post before it becomes "known"
Next thing you know, they'll raise prices and move into Perkins Rowe
