Popeyes Fish Sandwich

Searched and didn’t see anything posted.
I see Popeyes has come out with a Lent special for this year. I drove by my local restaurant and noticed a window ad that they now have a flounder sandwich. It peeked my interest after I saw what they did reinvigorating the chicken sandwich game. During Lent I’ve grabbed a fish sandwich a time or two for lunch in the past from McDs, Arby’s, Wendy’s... Never been impressed with any of them, just a poor Holy alternative on a Lent Friday that I had to muscle through.
Anyone had the Popeyes fish sandwich yet and care to comment? Wendy’s probably had the best one I can remember just because it was crisp and seasoned enough with a buttered bun, but not something good enough for them to keep on their menu year round.

Chick fil a has done a fish sandwich during lent a couple years here in Atlanta. Not sure if everywhere or not but they were fantastic. Outside of that gotta go with Arby’s when it’s fresh and Filet o fish from McDonald’s. Something about the filet o fish is just so damn good. Right now I think they have the 2 for $5 as well. Hot damn.

Had one today, it’s fire. Piping hot and very crispy. Same bun and pickles as the chicken sandwich. Comes with their tartar sauce instead of Mayo

I would try one, but I would not wait in line long to get it. I bet they are slammed on Ash Wednesday and Friday next week.
