Have not been in a while and my past trips focused more on going to bars. Looking for restraunts for dinner and brunch. Probably nothing fancy because my group won't have time or desire to get dressed up (women).

Hotel is near french quarter/canal.

Mr. B's is a good option...have drinks before or after at the Carousel Bar across the street inside the Hotel Monteleone

I’ll 2nd Mr B’s, and I’ll add Bourbon House’s bar seating for a very casual meal…

Cornet on Bourbon across from Cat's Meow. The food was good, staff was friendly, and the people watching was gold.
Yes, there are probably better restaurants in the Quarter, but that one has a great combo of food, service, and atmosphere.
Casual dress code and the prices were very reasonable.

If looking for casual and in the mood for a burger, go to Port of Call.

I had dinner at GW Fins Wednesday night. I consider it the best seafood restaurant in town. And you just have to get a little bit dressed up.

The thing is, no one can argue with that.

GW is a legit place to get drinks and dinner. I have never declined or opted out when there.

Going to GW Fins tonight. Great restaurant, though I don't often recommend it to tourists. I tnink because it feels like a restaurant that could be in L.A., Vegas, Miami etc.. But it would be a top choice in any of those places.
