Half a Chris’ Special poboy, modest amount of Ruffles, a pickle spear and a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. Doesn’t get much better.

so ruffles are potatoes cut into a ruffled pattern and fried. Pickle spears are pickled cucumbers and then cut in fourths vertically. Chicken and sausage gumbo is when you make a roux and add trinity and stock along with the meats, no tomatoes of course…

Oh the poboy……
Ham, swiss, roast beef, gravy, mayo, cabbage/lettuce.

I hope you don't eat like this everyday. This "lunch" probably has close to the amount of calories that you should be consuming for the entire day.

What I usually eat is something leftover from dinner, in the summer it will be something I grilled the night before. Half a pork chop, a hamburger on low carb bun.

Perfect lunch at home, tuna or chicken salad.
Perfect lunch eating out, oyster poboy with bacon dressed, and an order of onion rings. Because of the calorie and carb load, this is extremely rare.

Weird, people in Laf either love or hate Chris' for some reason, I suppose the Old Tyme loyalists, but I always loved Chris' especially the Special. Kinda miss that place. Also dump Crystal on the Special and Ruffles.

I have the opposite reaction. If only a person could be so lucky to eat their perfect lunch every day. Alas, the world is a cruel place with limitations.

Nope. I probably hover around 90% carnivore. Get out of that 1990s mentality of what's good for you.

The majority of American men are morbidly obese. Your views are most definitely out of whack.
