I’ve never had oyster dressing. I have had crawfish dressing a few times and it’s delicious. The dressing is probably my favorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving.

We do a potluck for Thanksgiving.. The one who is in charge of the stuffing goes to Lagenstien's and gets the Oyster and Cornbread dressing/stuffing.. Oyster is good but the Cornbread isn't worth a shite.. I had a good laugh at the "child's palette" comment...

Oyster by a pearl.
Cornbread is alright by me, too.

Screw turkey and dressing on Thanggiving unless it is turkey gumbo
Oysters / Cornbread / Rice
All are acceptable sides
:drool face:
Kige is up on cooking turkey and Leach apparently has a history with gravy

Thoughts on andouille dressing?

Dwyer's Cafe downtown Lafayette is the king of cornbread dressing, and that's no lie.

Cajuns are the only people that eat Oyster dressing

What? No. I’m from New Orleans, not Cajun and grew up with oyster dressing every holiday.

As said, Oyster dressing done right is fantastic and blows cornbread out of the water. Done horribly, then its cornbread all day

Oyster and it’s not close!

My MIL makes oyster dressing and it's the only version I've ever had. She puts a ton of ground beef in with the oysters. Is that normal? The texture almost comes out like a meat sauce; flavor is different, of course, but not sure this is how others do it?

Oyster dressing all the way. I’m the only person left in the family who eats it, but I’m still making it this year (despite the exorbitant oyster prices) because it isn’t Thanksgiving without it.

I will eat either but I’m not that big on those.
I would much rather just straight cornbread or cornbread muffins

Cornbread dressing.
I like oyster dressing, but it’s always so rich I can only have a little. I want to gorge myself on thanksgiving. Give me regular dressing on thanksgiving and oyster dressing comes out during Christmas.

No. It's more of a New Orleans (and its environs) thing.

I put both on my plate.
Then again, i put everything on my plate and just mix it all together. It all makes a poop.
