Overpass Merchant is one of the coolest atmospheres in BR, what are some others like it?

The atmosphere just feels old/classic to me. The food is good, and the beer selection is great.

Olive or Twist has a good atmosphere but it gets fricking loud inside

Maybe I’ll get as many downvotes, but I’ve enjoyed Olive or Twist’s atmosphere, also. Love The Overpass Merchant. Not sure I would put chimes in a similar category. It’s great, also, just different.

I wonder the hate for Olive or Twist..... Probably those fig hipsters that think they knew about it before anyone else did.

Describe exactly what you like about it. There are just too many variables that are possible but would have no impact on what's in your mind.

Trying to avoid listing something and then getting a "no, I'm talking about..."

So idk if you’ve ever been there, but it feels like a spot you’re not supposed to know about if that makes sense. It’s dark, it’s in a corner of BR literally under an overpass. It just feels like old BR to me.

OM is nice, but way too loud to be enjoyable...

I've been several dozen times. I was asking what you liked about it so I could try to help point you to other places that have those characteristics.

Based on what you described, I would tell you to give Kalurah a shot. Different in a host of ways, but checks the boxes you listed.

You think so? I don’t think it is. Kinda bright actually, in a muted way

The food is always excellent, even for an old fart like me, I enjoy the young pulse it has and the artwork is very impressive, especially the porch.

Best hummus dishes on earth. Great beer selection. Love the place. No need to go elsewhere.

The missus likes the food, but doesn't like going because she feels old there.
