Pretty sure they can turn away anyone.
Not sure how protected classes work, but restaurants and bars not sitting people for inane reasons has happened forever.

Can a restaurant start banning cancer patients?
I would think they can.
How about really overweight people?

Truth. Not to mention that waitresses are notorious whores. So STD's don't scare them but Covid does.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the "science" of this. It's not like your restaurant exists in a vacuum. If you are the only place enforcing a mandate, even if you assume these are the most effective vaccines ever, is there any possible way such a policy could accomplish anything, if literally nothing anywhere else around you has anything similar.

there is no science to virtue signaling...which is what this has always been about

Can’t wait for the Eater NOLA article in 2 months about them closing.
I don’t think k money is an issue for them/ownership. So they will keep steadfast.

Its proven time and time again that as governments take more power then never give it back.
But it's been given back. Quite a bit late in new orleans' case, but there are no government mandates to do anything other than RTA, which is bound by federal law. The city and state have no requirements. This is just a few places virtue signaling.

I mean. If you’re talking about the government making regulations then yea you can compare these in terms of that. But they really aren’t comparable when you’re taking about the health aspect of it.

Hell, you can't even verify that anyone's vaccine proof is real.
If someone really wanted to couldn’t they? Can you fake the LA Wallet?

Just called Palm and Pine and left a troll voice-mail about it and insinuated they are nazis

Paladar 511 were some damn vax nazis last week. Food was good but there are too many good restaurants in the city for me to go back when they were such sticklers about that bullshite.

Sort of, but not really.
It's really hard now unless you plan on making several phonecalls.

Employees voting to keep it just makes me think they're a bunch of losers. Covid gave these people something to be a part of where they felt like they're doing something good. They also get off to the power they have over customers

Nobody is requiring that, though, is what I mean. These places allow the hard copy of the vaccine card, a photo of the vaccine card, LA Wallet, or a negative test within 72 hours.
Three of those are very simple to fake, and lots of unvaccinated people are doing exactly that. Just seems like a waste of a rule at that point. If they actually cared about "protecting people", it would be LA Wallet or nothing. Which you can't do if you want out of towners coming.

Lets check back in on this in 5 years. I'm betting you I won't ever be able to visit Europe or Asia unless I capitulate and get the poison jabs.

I’d bet my bottom dollar Bearcat will. The place is great but the Covid nazism plus the continued service industry tax is annoying as frick.
Raise your prices if you want to pay your workers more and simply pay them more.

You may eat outside, if willing to mask while interacting with staff. Lol science.

Had a party of 6, 4 of which are out of towners. 3 of the 4 had their card, one left theirs in their hotel. They wouldn’t let him in. I get doing a “check” just in case health inspectors are watching but come the frick on. Ended up sneaking our guy in the side door.
