These hipster places crack me up.

Palm & Pine is keeping theirs after a "staff vote".

Any others you have seen so far? I bet there will be a few.

I bet Turkey and the Wolf/Molly's Rise and Shine will.

Haven't seen any others officially yet though.

We'll see how many places put their money where their mouths are. I can respect their decision to keep this nonsense in place, just like I hope they will respect my decision to not patronize their business.

So far that makes two upholding their civil duty and not murdering people. What other heroes does NOLA have who are brave enough to not murder everyone?

I applaud their bravery and will show my fake vax card if I ever decide to waste my time at their restaurants in the future.

I've always said a business should be able to do what they want not have it government mandated. If that's those snowflakes choice so be it.

It just cracks me up.

what are your thoughts on the smoking ban in restaurants?

a lot of people are all about allowing restaurants do their thing until it comes to smoking.

Philosophically I am against a smoking ban.

Selfishly I love it.

right, but is is a very tough question for most people "against the government telling restaurants what to do" to answer. I got hounded on here many times saying how bad this law was, and you have typical conservative/small government people cheering for it.

I wonder what that's about.

Is this a situation where the proletariat restaurant worker thinks he's setting an example for the rest of us?

Palm & Pine has vax mandate in place for those “1 and up”

My wife’s been wanting to try it, sucks to tell her never stepping foot in there.

If some place really needs to see my vaccine card, no prob. I'll show it, still pretty dumb at this point. It doesn't do anything or prove I'm not sick at the moment. It only captures a fact on a certain point in time. No value.

The mask mandates are a complete joke. Was there for the Mardi Gras and you have to wear a mask to get into a restaurant and then you take it off once you sit down. Some places that are even open air. fricking dumb.

All of the comments, including the restaurant’s account, was saying “good we don’t want you.”

Can’t wait for the Eater NOLA article in 2 months about them closing.

The “pronouncement” on their website is very cringy and funny. What’s the over/under on them removing that due to a lack of business.
