Just dinner for 2. Price is a non factor. My father doesnt really care to go downtown or quarter. But uptown may work. They just went to commanders with some friends a few weeks back. They typically dont gonto fancy restaurants anymore as my father is retired now and loves to cook.
TIA

This and Clancy's are your two best options, and that's including downtown and the quarter.

Costera for one of the best dining experiences going right now in the city

I’ll add La Petite Grocery to the options.

I agree with everything already posted, especially Clancy's. Also consider Appoline or Gautreau's.
It's a shame that Upperline closed down, that would've been a great choice.

Eating at the "kitchen table" at Gris-Gris is a lot of fun and the food is delicious.

As has already be stated, Clancy's is the cream of the crop. Mr. John's if they want a steak.
