Gran Centenario Anejo ...about $24 at Total Wine in Texas..hard to get in La ..is a great mixer...sipping chilled Codigo 1530 George Strait Edition Anejo and then biting into a slice of orange is heavenly.

I'm newer to the tequila game so I may get laughed at but I've been using Teremana (The Rock's tequila) and have really liked it for my Ranchwaters.

Very good for the price IMO

For mixing? Just get the Kirklands tequila

That's my go-to for Margaritas. I get the 1.75 of Kirkland Silver Tequila for mixing. I don't do shots all that often, but it works for shots if you're so inclined.

The bonus is it's very well priced.

Absolute solid deal. The Kirkland Anejo is not too shabby.

This will change your mind and for around $45-$50. I've tried many beside it, and this still is the best below $100. Very difficult to beat

1) A silver tequila that comes in 1.75L (handle) size that is reasonably priced that can serve as an upgrade in my bar. I usually buy regular Jose Cuervo and I really don't enjoy it. Help me find a brand that will be a better standalone well tequila in my bar for when company comes over.

Can't help on this one.

This is more my wheelhouse. We have a Mexican place that's also a tequila bar. You can order flights of tequila and they also have a good selection of mezcals.

I prefer reposados to anejos. Why? I feel like the extra aging in the anejo takes away from the tequila experience and gives it a flavor that I'm not found of. Your experience may differ from mine.

Anyway, an every day reposado: Altos. A higher end reposado: Casamigos and/or Avion. The best tequila I've ever had: Clase Azul Reposado. The Clase Azul is above your price target, but it will absolutely change your impression of tequila. Drink it neat or with a little ice.

I haven't had Avion yet. Casamigos is pretty good, but Fortaleza, Don Julio and Casa Dragones are all superior. You need to stock your restaurant with Fortaleza. I keep trying different tequilas on a hunt to find something better, and I can't. It's that damn good.

This is on another level, but at $125 a bottle it's well outside his price point. My friend loves this stuff and brings it around at times. It really is delicious.

Not available here, but if you are ever in Houston you need to stop at specs and grab the Abandonado Extra Anejo. It will change your mind of the Anejos, and at $70 I think it's the best bang for buck. I put it up there with the Casa Azul.

Still have to try Tesoro and Ocho.

Espolon is my rita tequila as well. Best for that price range that I have tried

I'm not a tequila aficionado by any means but Avion Silver is easily my favorite. I don't mix it with anything.

It's about 65 bucks.

Love Fortaleza. It’s a fantastic bottle.

Have you tried Lalo? They only make a blanco so it doesn’t fit the reposado criteria, but it’s an excellent bottle for about $45.

I've had a bunch of the Don Julio offerings and they were all good, but not great. I'll look for the Fortaleza and Dragones. Haven't seen them before.

I wish I could find something that approached Clase Azul in a less expensive price point. Avion might be the closest I've tried.

El Jimador is the best mixing tequila under $25 IMO.

Fortaleza is terrific.

One I currently have in my bar and find to be every bit as smooth as the higher end choices is El Tesoro. The Blanco will run you about $35-$40 with the Reposado and Anejo a bit more.

I was never a tequila fan outside of margaritas till this. I didn't know what reposada vs anejo even meant until a few weeks ago. I think I paid $89 for this and it's fantastic. Just as good as the Makers Private Selection if not better. I'm still getting used to drinking things neat and on the rocks.

This is actually a second bottle for my brother as he tried it and wanted his own.

The store owner who recommended the Padre also recommended Adictivo extra anjeo. The store I buy from, the owner is picking specific barrels/batches.
