Lockeland Table
5th and Taylor
FOLK
Butcher and Bee
Pelican and Pig
My favorite “honkey tonk” is FGL house upstairs. Great music and just off Broadway. Not as packed or overpriced as the others IMO

Not food related but figure out who’s playing at the listening room and get tickets

Geist, their Executive Chef worked in NO at LPG and Toups. His name is Seamus Rozycki and he is a badass. You won't be sorry.

These assholes got me a $250 parking ticket.
I drove down from Louisville to go to the TCU-Vanderbilt basketball game on a Saturday, and I was told it gets really busy on Saturday Nights and it was cold/rainy so to not wait outside and have my food ready after the game, before I left Louisville I went to their website and put in my food to be ready at 6pm Eastern Time as stated on the website(it adjusted to my time zone).
So I show up at 6pm Eastern Time/5pm Central Time and they said my food would not be ready for another hour. Because their online ordering portal does not adjust for time zones so it was set to be ready at 6pm Central Time. I thought this was stupid and asked if they could start making it now because it was an honest mistake on my end as I explained to them why there was a discrepancy, and they were really rude and said no as if I did it on purpose to skip the line.
I've worked in restaurants before and we would have definitely accommodated the guest if such a mistake were made, instead they were rude and hostile.
So I decided to just wait the extra hour... I eat, go to my car and it has a boot on it and its because my parking meter expired... the parking rates sign was wet, it was dark/rainy, AND it was upside down so it was somewhat hard to read, I thought I put in enough change, but I didn't. Anyway, this doesn't happen if they had my food ready when I requested it to be ready instead of forcing me to wait an entire hour. $250 to get the boot off.
I wrote a bad Yelp review the next day explaining that I understood having to wait another hour even though I thought it was kind of silly, but what really got to me was the rude and hostile behavior I got from the staff. The owner looks me up on LinkedIn, calls my work and I thought he was going to apologize, but instead he asked me to take the bad review down because my review outlined a way for people to try to skip the lines.

Arnold's Country Kitchen
The Gumbo Bros just opened their second location a month or so ago and have been doing crawfish boils.

JESUS CHRIST is anything ever NOT a problem for you?
you could have just gone to bishops in cool springs and parked right in front. they own hattie b's and you can get hattie b's hot chicken there with no line ever (except sunday after church when the old folks line up)

The Catbird Seat is tough to beat if you are looking for a tasting menu. Bastion is good as well, but not at good as Catbird Seat.
If you decide to go there, go the the Patterson House before dinner for awesome cocktails. Patterson House is in the same building as The Catbird Seat.

No way you get a boot for an expired parking meter.
