My list of terrible food

(1).Limburger cheese. Imagine wearing the same socks for a year, filling them with curds? and leaving them to age at the bottom of a dumpster. It has that flavor.
(2). Some kind of barnacle scraped off a pier or boat...not sure, served during a wedding in Hawaii. I was warned.
(3). Persimmons.

Persimmons
While an un-ripe persimmon is brutal to eat, a ripe homegrown one is a fantastic piece of fruit.

Not sure. The grooms family was Japanese.

I doubt these are found in a temperate clime.
Worlds most expensive food?

That's where the non-astringent Fuyu variety persimmons come in. Can be picked under-ripe and eaten more like an apple, or late and be a more traditional texture persimmon.

I noticed these didn’t make your list... for good reason.

Kumquats.
Ever notice you never see nice restaurants serving them? Never see kumquat jelly or preserves either unless some local Mee-maw is displaying this terrible product at a local farmer’s market.

Never cared for them myself till i tried a sweet Kumquat.
Didn't know they existed. Now I want a tree.

whatever that abomination of spaghetti and chili vomit they eat in Ohio.
I prefer a nicely aged Hákarl over that shite.

Not technically food but you ingest it so I'm nominating any tea with lavender. F that. If I want to eat lotion I'll just squirt the bottle into my mouth. That crap snuck into the work rotation once and damn near ruined tea for me for a week. /whine

I suspect
has a less off-putting smell than limburger.

Kale. Anyone who says they like Kale is a liar and cannot be trusted.
It may be a power food but you know you're forcing yourself to eat it because it tastes like crap.
You know you'd rather have a baked potato.

Garden fresh kale has a completely different taste compared to grocery store kale. Have you tried both?
Posted on 7/25/22 at 8:15 pm to HoboDickCheese
No. I don't know and do not want to know anyone who grows kale.
