LINK

Since this is not far at all from the Fresh Market on Vets, may make it a habit to stop by on Tuesdays on my lunch break after getting my chicken from TFM.

As if Metairie traffic needed to get worse. That is going to be an epic shitshow.

I dunno. It's basically a standalone store. The only time traffic will get bad there is obviously when they are just open, and during Christmas season when traffic backs up trying to get into Lakeside.

Meh. I can walk to the one by my house but never go. What they have is cheap but not very good quality. My wife does by organic avocados and limes there.

I hope it's ready to have to throw hipsters out of your way when you're browsing the shitty aisles.

This a part of a whole development with 6 to 8 other retailers.

Prices. Almost all of their stuff is their own label. I find the prices cheaper than WF and TFM on many items, with no noticeable reduction in quality.

Y'all can hate on me all y'all want. I love Trader Joe's and stock up everytime I go to Baton Rouge.

It's completely different from Dorignac's. I'll still go there for stuff.

Ditto. I won't fill up an entire grocery basket there, but I do enjoy & repeatedly purchase certain items.

I don't fill up an entire basket anywhere.

Red meat and saussage from Tags or Jeanfreau's meat markets in Chalmette, and Cutrer's in Kentwood (delivering to BR Saturday market in downtown)

Chicken breasts and frozen pizza from Fresh Market

Snacks and certain sauces and some frozen items and staples from Trader Joe's

Produce from Hollygrove Market

Pantry staples from WalMart/Sams

Shrimp, crabs, and crawfish from commercial fisherman

Fish from Today's Ketch or off the boat if I am in the mood for cutting them up myself

Toiletries from couponing and playing the "CVS Game"

TJ's does snack food and frozen items very well. they have a few other things that i like (their guac is fantastic, applewood smoked bacon delicious). they also have a good pre-prepped food collection, as well (salads, wraps, a few dinners). their produce is nothing to write home about. meat is pretty good quality and for a good price.

I just don't get the frenzy for TJ. Other than one huge one in downtown San Francisco which was great, the others are just meh......not bad just over hyped for what it is.

I'm gonna wait a solid 2 months before going

Had one right down the street when I lived in Des Moines, and I definitely miss it
