I wonder at what point people will stop opening restaurants that part of Lee. Everything is failing.

Well the strip centers are brand new so as someone who lives right behind there, please don’t let them sit empty.
That said, I think it’s needs to be a chain with a decent following to work. I’ve said this before, but Zoe’s Kitchen would kill in the spot Mooyah was.
College students just aren’t going to leave campus or the Burbank development to come to a random locally owned spot, as sad as that may be. Zoe’s has a following that will get people in the area to drive over.

I would love to see some decent stuff open up there and stay open. The potential is there. It's heavily trafficked but it's not like certain sections of College/Lee or Perkins where making a left out of a parking lot is impossible.

That was built and owned by Krispy Kreme. It was a corporate store.
And Lee Drive is slated for road construction so that will hurt those little strips in the future.

WTF?!?!?!?!? That is my go to doughnut shop.
Getting in/out of that little strip is a pain tho during peak times.

No surprised. Their donuts sucked.

THIS coupled with high rent. I think any potential new businesses are going to wait out the road work. Must be killing the guys paying the mortgage on those strip stores.
Passed by one this morning and some little boutique dress shop is the only one still in there.

KK chocolate glazed is the GOAT chocolate glazed donut.
Idk how the frick district donuts is still in business. Had the chocolate donut and a biscuit from there last week. Didn’t finish either one. Both tasted like absolute shite.

I contacted KK a few weeks ago about the progress and they said they are reopening this winter.

The original location in Houma is still incredible, and they seem to have hot donuts at pretty much any time you go. However, I've never gotten so much as a warm donut at the BR location. That coupled with a bad location and saturated donut shop market in BR makes for disaster.
