Mike's is definitly one of them. I still hear people say that M.A.'s is the best seafood in town. I've been there about 10 times over the past 5-7 years, and I've never been that impressed.

I'm not sure how all you can eat low/medium grade sushi for $15 can be considered 'overrated'. you're absolutely getting exactly what you paid for.
Now, Mike Andersons, Boutin's, and the Baton Rouge version of Gallatoire's on the other hand....

Yeah, but I was surprised at how good the Mike Anderson's in Gonzales was. Shocked Really! Its better than the one on Lee Drive.

The only one I can really think of is The Great Wall, people are always raving about this place, mediocre is being kind. There must be at least 20 Asian places in BR that are better.

I didn't feel Opie's was overrated, I have enjoyed my meals there a lot. However, I think Bistro Byronz is my first choice when I'm on that side of town.

Mike Anderson's and Ruth Chris are both way over-rated, IMO. They are popular with the LSU alum crowd but I feel shorted everytime I go to these places.
I disagree with Jubans being over rated. It is solid for special occasions.
