By far the winner of this award is Brennans. It has been hot garbage for at least 5 years now. Damn near bankrupt from what I hear.
It saddens me that tourist come to down and spend $150 per couple or more for dinner and around $100 per couple for breakfast here. Sucks
This gets my vote

Not saying the places are terrible and I wouldn't eat there, just overrated.

I suppose you could argue that Commander's is overrated just because of how famous the place is

But I certainly wouldn't call it overpriced. For what it is, I think it's a great value.

Parkway is pretty meh IMO

I wouldn't go so far as to call it terrible but their roast beef there is pretty bland.

Their bread pudding is pretty good

I actually like the place fine (the smoked soft shell crab is a really good dish). I just don't think it deserves the adulations it gets from some -- and I wasn't even thinking of you.

You been to Annunciation? It's a nice space, but I was really unimpressed.

Runner up is
Court of Two Sisters

Agreed.

I think these are two of the places I get asked about or to go to more than any other place from out of towners.

I refuse to go to either anymore.

Jacque Imos
Galatoires
Palace Cafe
Dickie Brennans Bourbon House
Mothers

(I haven't heard anyone I know from New Orleans going here, or have I been there myself but I think I can put Oceania in this category, if for nothing else due to the glut of their advertising)

These threads are stupid.

We basically learn every restaurant in the city is overrated.

There's almost no restaurant in town that some don't praise and that some aren't willing to hate on, so I tend to agree here.

I can't recall the last time I heard a local praise either Brennan's or the Court of Two Sisters, though.
