Steak is the worst. I understand ketchup on bad jambalaya. On a good jambalaya, it would be criminal.

What do you put on your hot dog?

My step daughter puts ketchup on her steak. I just don't get it.

My wife's uncle puts it on Blue Runner red beans. He really puts it on anything. He is one of those "I put ketchup on my ketchup" people.

My father grew up in a household where they had "Ketchup Rules".

I don't remember all of them, but some of them were:

1. No ketchup on hot dogs (the exception if it has chili with beans)
2. Always put ketchup on beans - my dad puts ketchup on red beans and rice.
3. Ketchup on hamburgers is OK
4. Never ketchup on steak.

I'm missing some weird ones, I know. I'll have to ask him what the rest of them are.

Ill never forget my sister was dating a country hick a few years back and we all went out for my parents 40th anniversary to a high end steakhouse

he got the prime filet and asked the waiter for some ketchup. Everyone at the table just looked at him.

People in Chicago lose their mind if you ask for ketchup on a hot dog. A very bizarre thing to create a fuss over.
