I need to get a gift card for someone I owe a favor too. She loves Mexican food. I’m personally not a Mexican food fan so any recs would be appreciated

Tio Javis (queso with shrimp)
Modesto (tacos)
Blue Corn (almost any entree)
If she also enjoys nice cocktails, Blue Corn wins out of all of them.

If I got a gift card for La Morenita or El Rio Grande I'd consider a top five all time gift. You might be looking for a little more ambience though, wait to see what other have to say.

Hmm… where is Blue Corn? I’ll take that recommendation. Also, Tio Javis has been my favorite ever since it was Ninfas. Texas combo for the win after some red and green salsa to start. Queso Fundido is also a guilty pleasure. Very guilty

Blue Corn is on Perkins at Essen lane
Edited: turn left on Perkins from Essen, it's on the left immediately. More clear

mm… where is Blue Corn?
Its tucked away off Perkins and Essen by Ichiban in the Ichiban strip mall. Its very good. Its not your typical Tex Mex fare.

Blue Corn. Mole enchiladas are my go-to.

+1 for Blue Corn. Authentic Mexican that is also popular with the local Hispanic population. More of a trendy place than a hole in the wall if you haven't been, but the food is great.
